Hi everybody!
My name is Selma, I am a Master's qualified English, History, Geography, and Social Studies teacher, with almost 10 years of experience. I am currently living in the Netherlands, where I am pursuing research at the University of Utrecht. I am also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, and I like to work with students who want to learn in a fun, comfortable and informal setting.
Regarding English, whether it's pronunciation, exam preparation for university entrance, or just basic conversational English that you want to brush up on because you want to visit a native English speaking country, I can help you with all of these _given my TESOL certification and my extensive international experience as an English teacher.
Concerning History, Geography, and Social Studies, as a UK Master's qualified and published Historian and Archaeologist, (who has also taught these subjects within the context of international schools) I would be more than happy to help you with things like exam preparation, grades improvement, and overall school progression.
On a personal level, I like academic research and writing in general. I have lived and worked all over the world, so during conversational lessons, I would like to hear about your experiences, as much as I can share mine.

I have dedicated my career to assisting ESL, private and public school students, through developing comprehensive and stimulating lesson plans that facilitate all types of learning. As a teacher who is also a published researcher, I take pleasure in locating and incorporating resources that can accommodate students via active kinaesthetic methods, such as Total Physical Response (TPR).
