Questions for You

Q: What is your approach to teaching writing, and how do you help students develop their writing skills?

My approach is to teach a simple understanding for them to start writing without complexity. I help them to develop by giving them some exercises to do in the class and I immediately check their writing. I will give them some tips of writing to practice how to write the sentences or essay easily.

Q: How do you help students with grammar, spelling, and punctuation?

Grammar : To teach them the trick to the easiest way to remember and give them some examples for easier way to learn. Spelling and punctuation : The more you practice both of writing and speaking, grammatical quite often as the routine that will make yourself is getting used to for what you have learned.

Q: What is your approach to teaching reading, and how do you help students improve their reading comprehension skills?

Reading is starting from short sentences and keep reading more longer passages, but you need to teach your children for phonic sounds as well for those whom haven't got basic skills of reading to help them to understand how to pronounce the words. For those whom able to read some texts or passages need to help them to understand how to get the point of view of the topics or stories by let them use their pens or markers to highlight the vocabulary or words in the passages.

Q: How do you help students with literary analysis and critical thinking skills?

The most important is to explain some simple way or give them the key points to understand in the topics or lessons that they are studying now , by giving them some examples and let them try to give the example back to the teacher as well.

To make the students have their own confident without give them the pressure, let them be themselves when they need to pronounce somethings. The teacher helps them to correct the right pronunciation and tell them to repeat the words or sentences again.

Q: How do you help students with public speaking or presentation skills?

Firstly, public speaking or giving a presentation requires a lot of confidence and practice in front of others. It is important for the teacher to act as a supportive partner who can practice with the students by assisting them with their voice, English conversation skills, and grammar usage. I will try to provide clear guidelines for them and encourage them to follow the steps one by one.

Q: Can you explain complex English grammar rules in simpler terms for easier understanding?

Grammar has many rules and is definitely quite complex. Personally, I always teach my students by giving examples through sentences — usually 2–3 sentences — to show the differences between the grammar rules we are learning. I also point out the key words they need to remember for each tense.

Q: How do you motivate students who struggle with the language?

Firstly, you cannot force children to love English if they dislike learning it. However, you can use games, fun activities, and start with easy lessons at the beginning of the class to get to know them first. Activities like crosswords or coloring word games can make them feel engaged, have fun, and become more motivated. For high school students, you might let them listen to or watch simple English stories or movies, and then ask questions related to the content to check understanding and encourage discussion.

Q: Are you familiar with the English curriculum and course requirements at my school?

These days many students use learning devices to help them for learning such as mobile phone, iPad etc.. I agree for students to use them sometimes for some good applications such as dictionary apps can help them searching vocabulary that they don't know while they're doing homework or assignments.

Q: How do you encourage students to pursue their own writing interests in English?

I will encourage them to write the simple writing sentences may be about themselves or routine for at least 100 words to start. For the children I will teach them to write some short descriptions and draw some pictures to make them enjoy their writing as well.
