Q: How do you help students build vocabulary, and what strategies do you use?

Building vocabulary can be particularly difficult when learning a new language especially when it comes to Japanese having 3 systems of writing. As such, I provide students with a collated list of specific vocabulary and their forms at the end of every lesson and will conduct a test at the beginning of every lesson on said list.

Q: How do you help students improve their pronunciation and intonation?

Many students often face challenges when ti comes to their pronunciation or intonation of certain words. To counter this, I will often break down those words into manageable syllables and work our way up from there. Through repetition and more speaking practice, my students will improve their pronunciation skills.
