My name is Michelle van Wyk. I am a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Polymer Science, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, which qualifies me to teach Secondary School Mathematics and Science up to the final grade. With tutoring experience since 2012 and professional teaching experience since 2020, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for fostering student success.

I believe in recognizing each student as a unique individual and ensuring that no one is left behind. My teaching experience spans from the most underprivileged areas of South Africa, where students often face significant challenges, to the most affluent environments. Regardless of the context, my commitment remains the same: to empower all students with a solid education and enhanced self-confidence. I am also comfortable with the use of different technology and media in the classroom, and I use it effectively to achieve the best outcomes.

Currently, I am teaching Mathematics at an International School in Hong Kong, where I have gained knowledge and experience in IGCSE and A-level Mathematics, in addition to my prior experience with the South African curriculum. Read less
