As someone who has spanned three cultures—growing up in China, studying in Australia, and now settling in Thailand—I deeply understand the challenges and opportunities of cross-cultural communication. My professional journey has traversed Beijing’s financial sector and Bangkok’s construction project market development, while family life has taught me patience and tolerance amid cultural differences. These experiences have honed my ability to bridge linguistic divides and navigate subtle cultural nuances across diverse environments.

Though my formal experience in teaching Chinese remains limited, I have accumulated practical insights through educating my children in both Chinese and English. I assess learners' needs and tailor customized teaching plans to their individual learning abilities and knowledge absorption styles. I supplement lessons with videos, games, and flashcards to make learning engaging. I integrate learning methods with Chinese language instruction—an approach I used when teaching my own son, who has ADHD. This way, students not only learn Chinese but also develop strategies to apply to other areas, as I understand the challenges of children who struggle with focus. Read less
