Hi, I'm John and I teach Math and English around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. I am currently studying computer science at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

English is my first language and I can tailor my teaching to meet each student's individual needs.

I am very approachable and strive to make learning an enjoyable experience for students, helping them see it as something fulfilling rather than just work.

I enjoy using metaphors to explain concepts in a way that is easy to understand and I am happy to create additional practice exercises if needed.

I am very open to spending hours just talking to a student and working on their English pronunciation and vocabulary. More importantly, I believe that practicing speech makes a student more confident in English, which opens them up to using it in other aspects of life.

I like to teach using practical examples such as games, movies, and even music. I analyze the grammar and vocabulary used in addition to the context it was used in. Read less
