Hello! I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher based in Cape Town, specializing in English as well as Foundation Phase literacy and numeracy.

What sets my practice apart is the bridge I build between education and psychology. With a background in Psychology, I don’t just look at what a student is learning, but how they are learning. As a neurodivergent educator myself, I have a lived understanding of the barriers students can face in a traditional classroom. I lean into this perspective to create a "learner-centric" environment where every child feels seen and understood.

My teaching style is rooted in differentiation. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I adapt my methods to meet the unique cognitive profile of each student. Learner-centric teaching is what underpins my practice. Experience has taught me that learning happens best when content is contextualized and made meaningful and relevant to the student. To achieve this, I need to get to know the pupil. Deeper knowledge of the individual informs me on how to tailor instruction according to specific learning needs.
