Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

I start with the very basics and break each concept down so students can truly understand it. I focus on helping them learn independently and show them how to apply Math in real-life situations. I adjust the pace to each student’s learning style without pressure, making sure they fully grasp the topics. I pay attention to the areas where they struggle and guide them patiently, helping them build confidence and long-lasting understanding.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

I haven’t formally taught students yet, but I have created several resources to help learners. I write educational content on Medium, and on my own website, I built a free library, a quiz generator, and a smart study tool (all designed to help students learn independently). I also teach Math and other topics on TikTok, making learning fun and accessible. These experiences have given me practical skills in explaining concepts clearly and helping students practice and understand ideas on their own. I’m comfortable teaching through homeschooling, chat, or audio calls, whichever works best for the student. This makes learning flexible and easy to follow, and I can provide guidance and practice anytime they need.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I specialize in beginner-level Math topics, including basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, pre-algebra, algebra fundamentals, geometry, and word problems. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly and apply them in real-life situations. To stay up to date, I study the latest Math materials online, explore learning resources, and adapt lessons based on the needs of students, making sure what I teach matches what they are learning in school.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I keep parents updated by regularly sharing feedback on their child’s progress, highlighting areas where they are improving and where they need more practice. I communicate through chat, email, or calls, whichever works best for the parent, and I make sure to explain any challenges in a clear and practical way so we can work together to help the student succeed.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes! I provide extra resources to help students practice and learn independently. I created a free website with a quiz generator, a smart study tool, and a library of materials that students can access anytime to reinforce what they learn in our lessons.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

I don’t focus on giving traditional homework. Instead, I introduce students to my free website, where they can practice anytime at their own pace. To ensure they understand concepts, I focus on how they approach problems and improve over time, not just whether they get answers right immediately. Even if they make mistakes, I pay attention to their progress, understanding, and problem-solving skills, and celebrate improvements as real learning.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

I make sure my teaching matches each student’s learning style by observing how they solve problems and interact with the material. I adjust my explanations, examples, and pace to fit their needs, whether they learn better by doing exercises, visualizing concepts, or discussing ideas. I also use my quiz website and interactive tools so they can practice in ways that suit them best, ensuring they truly understand and improve over time.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

I haven’t had formal experience teaching students with learning disabilities, but I focus on adapting my teaching to each student’s needs. I go at a pace they are comfortable with, break concepts into simple, manageable steps, and use interactive tools and practice exercises to make learning easier. I pay attention to how each student learns and adjust my approach so they can understand and improve at their own pace.
