Rather than giving the answer immediately, I pose a "puzzle" that requires the student to investigate. "Why did we use this word specifically?" or "What happens if we change this number?" This gives me insight into how much the learner understands and how they process information. I believe in breaking complex problems into simpler, more manageable steps. This helps students gain confidence and prevents frustration. Each student is different. I don't believe in a 'one-size-fits-all' approach. Read less
