With a total of twelve years of teaching experience—nine years in the Philippine Department of Education and three years in Arkansas, United States—I bring a solid foundation in English language instruction, cross-cultural communication, and learner-centered pedagogy. My teaching career began in the Philippines, where I served as a public school teacher under the Department of Education for nine years.

During this time, I handled diverse classrooms composed of students with varying language proficiencies, learning styles, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This experience strengthened my ability to design engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, implement effective classroom management strategies, and assess student progress using data-driven approaches. I consistently integrated communicative language teaching, critical thinking activities, and technology-enhanced instruction to foster students’ English proficiency and confidence.

Seeking professional growth and global exposure, I later taught in Arkansas, USA, for three years. Teaching in an American educational setting allowed me to gain firsthand experience with international teaching standards, multicultural classrooms, and inclusive education practices. I collaborated with fellow educators, participated in professional development programs, and adapted my instructional strategies to meet the needs of English language learners and native speakers alike.

This experience further enhanced my classroom communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability—qualities essential for an effective foreign English teacher. Across both teaching contexts, I have developed a learner-centered teaching philosophy that emphasizes clear communication, cultural respect, and meaningful interaction. I believe that learning English is not only about mastering grammar and vocabulary, but also about building confidence, critical thinking, and global awareness.
