Hi there! My name is Teacher Shann. I am from Durban, South Africa, and I love to teach English.

I am a passionate, motivated, and patient teacher. I usually teach children ages 5 and up, as well as teenagers and adults at various English levels.

I have five years of teaching experience in English and horseback riding.

My hobbies and interests include cooking, gardening, and taking my dogs to the beach or for walks.

I am a fun, loving teacher who likes to think outside the box when planning my lessons. I enjoy keeping my students engaged by using a variety of fun tools and activities to help them stay focused during lesson time. I have high expectations for my students that I uphold for their benefit. I believe in providing a quality education, and that is exactly what all my students will receive.

Reading is very important, and I encourage my students to practice this between lessons. It helps improve their conversational skills and builds confidence.
I love to keep my students engaged by using props and different teaching methods tailored to each student.
Keeping my students happy during lessons helps boost their confidence and prevents demotivation. A happy student is a motivated student. Read less
