Questions for You

Q: What areas of Chemistry do you specialize in, and what level of Chemistry do you usually teach?

I teach chemistry from secondary school to early-year university level.

Q: What types of resources or technology do you use to support your Chemistry lessons?

Video and demonstration. Drawing is very important, especially in organic chemistry.

Q: How do you approach teaching Chemistry concepts to students who may struggle with Chemistry?

Need to first identify whether it is physical, organic or analytical chemistry they are struggling.

Q: Do you have experience with laboratory experiments, and how do you incorporate these into your Chemistry lessons?

It is important to help students develop interests in chemistry. I will show them fun videos online about how chemistry works.

Q: What is your approach to teaching organic chemistry, and how do you make the subject engaging and accessible for students?

Organic chemistry can be very complex but fun. The trick is to know how to draw the structure out to understand their basic functional unit and possible pathways.

Q: How do you help students prepare for chemistry competitions, college applications, or other academic opportunities in chemistry?

I will help come up with a research plan by researching with students for projects which are appropriate at their level.
