I am a qualified English teacher and I hold a CELTA certificate for teachers of English as a foreign language, a qualification which is internationally recognised. I live in Cape Town with my husband and two kids. When I am not enjoying the outdoors, I usually have my nose stuck in a book. My teaching methods change to adapt to the level the student is at. I love teaching in terms of having free flow conversations with my students about real-life experiences or what is currently circulating the news. I also like to include images, videos and things that make class more fun. Technological advances are a great way to keep the interests of students. Role play is another method I favour as it allows the student to become more comfortable and playful while still learning; a win-win! Read less
