Having completed my A Levels and graduating from the University of Surrey (UK) in Civil Engineering (Hons) whilst also completing my HKCEE from a local school in Hong Kong, I have had the opportunity to understand and learn from both the local and international schools abroad. My tutoring experience consists of ages ranging from 4 - 16 year old in English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry on a one-to-one basis, as well as in a small group which includes assisting students with their homework and exam preparations. With my previous work experience in an executive role, I am also open to teaching Conversational English to adults who are in need of utilizing the English language skills in their workplace or as a self-improvement tool to enrich their lives. Students learn best when they are given the opportunity to make mistakes without being judged, in order to learn from them. The inquiry-based teaching is a style I prefer to use by guiding students with probing questions so that they can over time self-direct themselves. This is useful as they are able to guide their own curiosity by asking the RIGHT kind of questions, helping them broaden their own knowledge in return. Read less
