I like to teach maths and physics from the basic theory and then build up from there. I believe that many students make the mistake of memorizing too much and rely on past papers to solve problems, and that can be a problem when new problems appear with slight variations.

This is why it is crucial for students to first get comfortable with the theory, and build up from there. As a former student, I found that problems become trivial once you understand the theory, then practice from there. Read less
