Teaching is what I always wanted to do. To know that I can change my student's life for the better gives me immense happiness along with a sense of responsibility. Hii, I am Vrinda, a student pursuing Bsc. computer science honors. Along with computer science, my other two core subjects are Mathematics and Statistics. I have taught students worldwide, including students from countries like, Germany, Oman, India, etc.

My name is Luke and I am currently in my fourth year of primary teaching. I worked in the UK for three years at a school in an urban setting. I also led PE for two of these years. This gave me the chance to have a greater impact on the school as I provided a larger number of children with the opportunity to participate in different and more competitive sports. Hello, I'm Samantha. I'm 18 years old and I offer online tutoring for Mathematics and Science. I graduated high school at the top of my A Level maths and science (biology, chemistry and physics) class, achieving 5 A*s. Hence, I have a strong foundation and passion for these subjects. Currently, I am going to start university to get a Bachelor's in Engineering. For online tutoring, I do not mind any platform but prefer to use Whereby. The platform allows me to video call, share my screen, and it also has an interactive whiteboard integrated into it (both the student and I can edit what's on it at the same time). This is great to work through problems together as it allows the student to communicate what the student doesn't understand. Additionally, I also use a tablet so that any annotations, working out, or labelling is clear. During my sessions, I like to start by recapping previous topics we've covered by trying practice questions to make sure she keeps building on what the student has learned. Then, I continue to the topics planned for that session. To help my students excel, if applicable, I prepare summary sheets and worksheets filled with relevant practice questions for them to practice. I can also prepare a stress-free diagnostic test to identify any gaps of knowledge in her the student's foundation which will be the first thing we work on to solidify. From there, through back and forth communication and by using the digital learning materials, we can adjust the content, pace of the session and create a teaching plan. As someone who has just gone through the high school education system, not only is the content fresh in my mind but I am up to date on good exam techniques to know and can provide tips and encouragement. I understand first-hand the impact COVID has had on our education. So, my aim is to also alleviate the extra challenges students have when transitioning between online and offline school.

I am Muratzhan, 20 yo final year student double-majoring in Pure Mathematics and Quantitative Data Analytics. Also receiving a full scholarship from HKBU. During high school and university, I have won several European and international mathematical competitions, the most recent being Asian-Pacific Mathematical Competition for Undergraduate Mathematics students. I have rich experience in teaching different types of mathematics. Most importantly, in my classes, I always concentrate on conceptual understanding, not just formulas and rules (be it Olympiad Math or school program).
