I am an Ontario Certified Teacher based in the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in elementary Math and Literacy. With experience teaching a diverse range of learners, I am passionate about creating engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environments where every student feels confident and capable. I am a Danish guy with a PhD in Philosophy from The University of Hong Kong and two years of postdoc research experience from Oxford University. Prior to coming to Hong Kong, I attained Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Denmark in Sociology and European Studies. After completing my PhD, I wrote and published a book with Springer Nature based on my research, which won the British Ecological Society's Book of the Year award for 2023 and received other positive reviews. Writing has always been my greatest academic strength and enjoyment, so I am now trying to help students with their writing. My core expertise lies in wildlife conservation, environmental history, environmental philosophy, and related subjects, but I am willing to assist with anything in the fields of humanities and social sciences. I don't use AI for anything.

Mrs. Gupta is my experienced English teacher. Mrs. Ruchira Gupta, MA (Eng. Lit.), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), IB Certified TOK Instructor, Certified IELTS Trainer, Advanced TESOL, PTE (Pearson Test of English) Trainer, and is a professional educator with diverse experiences and a strong track record. She has taught Academic English to students of the Associate Degree program at a Community College in Hong Kong. She has also taught Contract and Business Laws to a student of a UK university. Her proficiency lies in teaching IB Diploma English Literature and English Language, Economics, TOK, and guiding students to write high-level EE and IAs. She can also teach GCSE and HKDSE curriculums, besides teaching science and other subjects at the primary level. She has consistently demonstrated personalizing her instructions based on student's needs and interests to foster learning in each student, developing their critical thinking and critical writing skills. Mrs. Ruchira Gupta is a warm and caring teacher who wants all students to be successful learners.

As a qualified Montessori teacher, I have trained in the Orton-Gillingham method and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
