I am focusing on using children's literature to teach listening, speaking, and reading comprehension. I find it easier to engage middle school students when using novels or other written material that can capture their attention. My approach involves getting students to participate by reading and listening to audiobooks and then discussing the stories and themes from the books. I can teach older students who have specific goals or curriculum.
