My name is Long Him. I am an 18-year-old Y13 student studying at the German Swiss International School (GSIS). I live in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. I am offering tuition for mathematics (including further mathematics), physics, chemistry, and German for IB level and below. Additionally, I provide Oxbridge interview preparation for mathematics, engineering, or physics. I did not receive an offer to study mathematics at Cambridge, but I can certainly give aspiring Oxbridge applicants a taste of what an Oxbridge interview is like. I am also available to give feedback on UK university applications (UCAS), university counseling, and TOK essays for IB students. I will be attending UCL to study mathematics and mathematical physics (applied mathematics). As for my academic qualifications: - IB predicted grades: 44/45 points, HL physics, chemistry, mathematics 777, SL English literature, German, Economics 776. - IGCSE: 9 A*s, including mathematics (standard and further pure), physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, music, German, and Chinese. - Sprachdiplom German qualifications: DSD2 C1 (The C1 level qualifies my German level to be equivalent to that of a native speaker). - Received university offers: UCL (mathematics), University of Warwick (mathematics and physics), University of Manchester (mathematics and physics and astrophysics) on a full scholarship, HKUST (mathematics) on a full scholarship, University of British Columbia (mathematics) on a full scholarship. - I have also participated in the South-East Asian Mathematics Competition (SEAMC) last school year, where I placed in the top 30 worldwide. This competition included students from all of Asia and the United Kingdom. Due to the cancellation of IB exams, I am more than happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate the best time for everyone. My preference is to conduct online lessons due to the COVID-19 situation.

I am an international MYP/DP mathematics teacher who recently started working in Bangkok. I also have experience with AP/AB and BC. I have been tutoring students for five years and already have some students in Bangkok. In the past, I have worked with many students as an advisor for personal projects and internal assessments. I can provide ideas and help with progress, as well as contribute with computer software for modeling purposes.
