I am Avin, a scholarship student at the University of Hong Kong, studying Science. I teach Mathematics and Sciences(Biology, Chemisry and Physics) at all levels within most secondary qualifications. I am based in Pok Fu Lam, but I am happy to go anywhere to help a student in need!

I focus on developing an intrinsic passion for the subjects I teach, helping the students develop their own unique reasoning to solve tricky, unexpected problems they may face in the exam. I am patient, and wouldn't impose a specific method on students, encouraging them to develop methods that they feel comfortable with(its already so hard to study a subject you struggle with, I hope to make it easier).

As a student myself, I can find I can relate to fellow students better and indentify and satisfy their problems which arent fully addressed through school. This means I am much more efficent at helping students overcome problems when they study. Przeczytaj mniej

Firstly, I would ask the student to solve an easy problem related to the subject discussed: and use that to assess their method of thinking. Afterwards, I will ask them to attempt a difficult problem, and observe where they go wrong. I would then either introduce a method to solve a problem that they may understand better, or help them understand correct reasoning in ther own unique way.
