I am an experienced Biology/Chemistry Tutor in Toronto. I earned my PhD in Biology (Molecular Virology) from the University of Turku in Finland. Since then, I have successfully completed postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Helsinki, University of Montreal, the internationally recognized Goodman Cancer Research Centre at the McGill University, and most recently in the Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto. Throughout my academic career, I have had the privilege of tutoring, mentoring, and supervising high-school, undergraduate and graduate students, nurturing the next generation of scientific talent. Hi guys my name is Karyl I am a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree. While doing my degree I knew I wanted to get into the health field, therefore I did a variety of health courses specifically biology, microbiology and anatomy and physiology which I enjoyed immensely and was succesful in. I am a current third-year medical student at Barts and the London. I have completed a bilingual International Baccalaureate and the Middle Years Programme. I have always excelled in each of these programs, which makes me confidently qualified for any help needed in Medicine Year 1 and 2, IB Level Biology and Geography and GSCE Level Chemistry and English. Previously to this, I was at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong, in which I thought English in a local school and went on a project to Myanmar in which I help to teach English and set up a school. I accomplished my goals as a teacher by being patient and understanding as well as teaching in a personalised and friendly manner. I gave the right amount of hints but not to many, and enjoyed challenging my students rather than immediately giving them the right answer so that they could learn properly. I am perseverant and honest and want the best for every student that I teach.
