I became the Head of the Smart-Functional Biomaterials Research Laboratory and have published 38 chemistry-related research papers in international and national journals and conference proceedings, with over 100 citations. I have also served as a journal article reviewer for international and refereed journals and have been involved in revising chemistry laboratory manuals and writing a worktext on the chemistry of agricultural chemicals. I was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Researcher (Junior Category) from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, the 2016 Outstanding Junior Faculty from the same institution, and the Best Paper Award in the Weed Science Society of the Philippines (WSSP) category at the 44th Pest Management Council of the Philippines Annual Conference. I have also received eight UP System International Publication Awards. I am a lifetime member of the Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas-Southern Luzon (Chemical Society of the Philippines) and a member of the UPLB Natural Products Research and UPLB Chemical AA (alumni association). I am also a member of the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines.

I am a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at Curtin University, with a strong academic and practical background in chemistry and chemical engineering. My research focuses on advanced chemical processes, energy materials, and reaction engineering, which allows me to bring real-world context into my teaching.
