When I taught GCSE and Functional Skills English at the Isle of Wight college, students belonging to my Functional Skills English classes were the first in the college to pass their examinations in that subject. Last summer, I worked for MLI International in Portsmouth, England, teaching English to students from China, Russia, Spain and Italy.
