Subsequently, I moved to New York City where I lived for 16 years and earned my Ph.D. in American Studies from NYU. As an American Studies Ph.D., I have over twenty years of college/university teaching experience in subjects ranging from English Composition, Business Writing, American History, and Literature. I am a published scholarly writer and freelance writer. I am also a passionate creative writer, engaged in writing short and long fiction as well as poetry.
