I am currently a student at King's College London Mathematics School. I have had a lot of experience in teaching mathematics at GCSE / AS to private students as well as small groups. As a tutor, I think it is very important to explain: Why maths concepts work the way they do, rather than just learning 'facts', as this provides both, a more thorough understanding of the subject and additional skills to tackle harder problems. In addition, having achieved grade 9 in Mathematics and A* with Distinction in Further Mathematics, I can say that I am very familiar with the GCSE Mathematics curriculum. I am fascinated by maths and my intention is to make my students love it as well.

I have completed Undergraduate in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and I am currently completing my Masters in Economics from the University of Sydney. I also have 5 years of work experience in Revenue Management and 4 years of tutoring experience including tutoring of gifted students in Math. I have an MSc degree (specialization) in Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics, Modern Algebra, Mathematical Astronomy, Theoretical Astronomy, Methods of Mathematical Physics, Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Special of Relativity and General Theory of Relativity.

As I was once a grade A1 Mathematics student, I mainly teach Elementary Mathematics as it is my passion, and, it was and still is my favourite subject of all time. What benefits do you get from my teaching classes? 1) I am not very strict when it comes to extra time. We can extend a bit, and an additional 10 minutes is no problem. I always believe that longer sessions with small pauses are better for you to grasp the topic. 2) I can teach in groups as well as individually, whichever option suits you best. If you need to catch up with what is going on in school during a break and don't want to fall behind, we can have back-to-back classes in a short amount of time, if that works for you. I am a chemistry major at Ryerson going into my fourth year. I have 4 years of experience teaching chemistry and math to students of all ages up to grade 12. I am located near Victoria Park and Lawrence, but I am also downtown a good portion of the time so I am able to commute to most locations near a subway station.
