I am an electrical engineer who worked in the semiconductor industry and am now an analyst in telecommunications and technology. My industry perspective allows me to help students learn different math disciplines. I am based in Hong Kong Island but happy to go anywhere for face-to-face tutoring; online is okay too.

I believe that each and every student is different, so I will adjust my teaching style accordingly. I generally try to simplify a concept without losing any content. I will break up a challenging topic into smaller, more digestible topics. Research suggests that non-experts are better off looking at solutions, so I will solve questions while explaining my thinking process. This will allow you to mimic it in exams. Afterwards, I will assign a very small but targeted amount of questions to help solidify your understanding. This way, you will not waste time doing the same type of questions repeatedly. It doesn't matter if you are a student who usually receive B or D grades - my goal is to help you achieve an A*.

I am Farhan Yusuf Khan, an international undergraduate student studying Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong. I completed my high school education in the British Curriculum and took both Cambridge O Level and A Level Examinations, achieving A*/As. As a result of studying in the British Curriculum my entire life, I am fluent in English and well-versed in international curriculum. I am interested in teaching Mathematics, Sciences, or English. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience tutoring multiple students over the past 3 years. Currently, I am also employed as a Student Teaching Assistant at the University of Hong Kong, where I assist in teaching programming to students enrolled in the Computer Programming I course. In Hong Kong, I have taught programming to grade 5 and grade 3 students at KCIS Hong Kong, as well as IB maths to a grade 4 student at Victoria Shanghai Academy. Prior to that, I taught A Level Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, O Level Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in Bangladesh.
