Hello, I am a qualified & experienced GCSE to university tutor. I have been tutoring in the United Kingdom for 3 years, part-time, and have seven years of experience tutoring on a one-to-one basis part-time. I primarily teach students from the age of 8 to 24, however, welcome any person wanting to develop themselves further as an individual. I pride myself on preparing lessons to suit the student, giving students advice and teaching individuals how to approach exam questions to obtain the best grade possible. Each lesson is structured based on a revision guide I make for the student. I have held positions in the energy sector and finance sector, therefore my ability to solve problems is extremely high. I enjoy using my understanding developed through education and work experience to hold an intelligent conversation with my students, with the emphasis placed on developing their academic knowledge and interpersonal skills. I teach Mondays to Fridays, from 18:30 to 22:00. This gives me time in the day to focus on preparing lessons, materials and working on my career. In the evening I enjoy passing along the knowledge and skills I have learnt from work experience and my education. I have experience covering a broad range of subjects and exam boards. I am very familiar with past exams and have a deep understanding of what kind of questions could appear in the years to come. I am currently studying computer programming in Canada. When I was in my home country (India), I used to teach kids math from grade 1 to 8 at my place. The method I have always used to make it easier for students to understand was to first explain the concept verbally and then ask them to explain it back to me to ensure their understanding. Only after I felt they knew the concept, I would show them a practical example and then guide them to solve similar examples on their own, gradually increasing the difficulty level. After completing a unit or chapter, I would administer a test with various types of problems to assess their performance. Additionally, after every three chapters, I would conduct a combined test. I also included two main exams, divided into parts similar to mid-term and final exams, to ensure their progress is on the right track. In conclusion, a balanced approach of theory (30%) and practical examples (70%) is the most effective way for students to learn, especially in subjects like mathematics.

I am incredibly passionate about mathematics and helping people understand it better. I have been an official teaching assistant for universities for more than 3 years, specifically for multivariate and vector calculus, continuum mechanics, and some physics. I have also been tutoring privately for just as long, having had several students while finishing my own degree. I am particularly skilled in tutoring real analysis, multivariate and single-variable calculus, vector calculus, differential equations, and general introductory mathematics at an undergraduate level. Additionally, I am skilled at teaching virtually any high school mathematics and have been doing so for at least 4 years. Regarding my qualifications, I obtained my Bachelor's and Bachelor Honour's degree (Cum Laude) in mathematics and applied mathematics, and I have graduated from my Master's degree in mathematics (specializing in algebra, geometry, and number theory) at Leiden University in 2025. I am currently a Data and Cloud Engineer, but still have a big passion for teaching in my spare time!
