Dr. Chan is our science and mathematics tutor. Dr. Chan received her Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong and her MSc. from the University of Manchester. She is one of our experienced tutors, teen life coaches, and admission consultants at A* International Tutoring. She teaches general science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics to students preparing for 11+, 13+, IGCSE, HKDSE, GCE A-level, and IB exams. Currently, she works as a lecturer in a community college. With 10 years of tutoring experience, she is now working at our center to equip our students with essential scientific knowledge and help them achieve their desired university placements.

I am a licensed chemist with extensive knowledge in various branches of chemistry, particularly inorganic, analytical, organic, and biochemistry. I have several years of experience as a tutor, helping students at different levels grasp complex chemical concepts with ease. In addition to teaching, I hold a master’s degree in Chemistry and have conducted research in natural products and metal–flavonoid complexes. I was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Researcher (Junior Category) from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, the 2016 Outstanding Junior Faculty from the same institution, and the Best Paper Award in the Weed Science Society of the Philippines (WSSP) category at the 44th Pest Management Council of the Philippines Annual Conference. I have also received eight UP System International Publication Awards. I am a lifetime member of the Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas-Southern Luzon (Chemical Society of the Philippines) and a member of the UPLB Natural Products Research and UPLB Chemical AA (alumni association). I am also a member of the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines.
