Yale doctoral student offering Chemistry tutoring.
Struggling in mathematics, science, or other technical and tricky subjects? Don't worry, it's okay. I used to HATE math, but now I am currently enrolled to start my doctoral studies at Yale University in Biochemistry, Quantitative Biology, Biophysics, and Structural Biology. Previously, I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver majoring in Chemistry with minors in math and biology! I have two years of tutoring and teaching assistant experience. Additionally, I have studied learning facilitation in math and sciences at the university. I have a strong background in both high school and university-level chemistry (general, organic, biochemistry, physical chemistry, computational biochemistry, etc.), mathematics (calculus 1, 2, 3, differential equations, etc.), as well as general and molecular biology. Furthermore, I have experience in writing and editing publications and major papers, introductory Python programming, and various other technical skills. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you need assistance with a course or subject that was not listed above! I have a background in high school calculus, as well as in calculus 1, 2, and 3. Additionally, I can help with subjects such as linear algebra, programming, and differential equations. I have over two years of experience tutoring and working as a teaching assistant in the chemical sciences. I can't wait to help! I am located in Parker, Colorado.

Making Chemistry a Breeze in Pretoria
Learners rise to the expectations set for them. I let my students tell me what they are capable of and then provide the support and teaching to get them there. Encouriging them to aspire to great success. Everyone learns in a unique way. By identifying how the learner thinks, I spot where the mistakes and confusion creeps in. My teaching addresses these painpoints resulting in structured improvement in their knowledge foundations. I focus on Mathematics, Chemistry, English and Afrikaans. Travelling to the learner's home is preferred and I am based in Brooklyn, Pretoria. It is best to work with a long term plan, a couple of lessons over a couple of weeks, to significantly improve the learner's understanding of the subject. In this case the first lesson is used to gauge what level of understanding the student currently has as well as to map out our lessons, what will be covered when. If a learner is only looking for a once of lesson, this can also be accommodated. In this case I will request that the learner clearly indicates exactly which sub section of the subject, ie which chapter of which textbook, the learner would like me to address.

University of Tokyo Graduate and Chemistry Tutor
Hello! I'm Gene, a medical student with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in both STEM and the humanities. I earned my degree in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo with specializations in Sustainability and Cybersecurity. I also hold a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University Global Launch. My academic journey began in a science high school, where I learned that academic success is not just about memorizing information but about truly understanding concepts and applying them. That experience pushed me to develop my own study systems for tackling difficult subjects, and those same strategies now shape how I teach today. My academic journey began in a science high school, where I learned that academic success is not just about memorizing information but about truly understanding concepts and applying them. This experience led me to develop my own study systems for tackling difficult subjects, and those same strategies now shape how I teach today. I have experience tutoring students across a wide range of subjects, particularly in the sciences, and I also worked as an English conversation teacher in Japan for a year. These experiences strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and support students from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. I provide tutoring across multiple subjects, especially in STEM, along with focused preparation for the SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS. My background allows me to support students in both the technical precision required in math and science and the analytical clarity needed for reading and writing. During high school, I won several nationwide academic competitions, including quiz bees in chemistry, physics, food science, and general knowledge. These experiences strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I now pass on to my students. At the same time, I believe that excess pressure does not lead to genuine learning, which is why I prioritize an encouraging and supportive environment in my teaching. I understand that challenging material may feel overwhelming. My goal is to break complex topics into manageable pieces while helping students build confidence, independence, and a genuine understanding of what they are learning. I look forward to supporting you in reaching your academic goals and making learning both effective and encouraging.

University of Oxford Chemistry student - Experienced Chemistry and Physics tutor.
Hello! I’m a first-year chemistry student at the University of Oxford with previous experience in tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry. I self-taught myself GCSE and A-level Chemistry, sitting the exams in Year 10 and 11 respectively. I achieved: A-levels: A*s in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths and an A in Further Maths. GCSE: 9A*s, 1A. Furthermore, I qualified for the UK Chemistry Olympiad Round 2 in Year 12 (within the top 30 out of around 10,000 students nationally). I am offering online tuition sessions for GCSE, IB, DSE, A-level Chemistry, and Physics, as well as university guidance and personal statement review services. My work ethics and tutoring approach: I am a patient, diligent, and resourceful tutor able to tailor the lesson according to the student’s needs. My main tutoring approach is to break down a concept into logical steps and guide the tutee through it. Next, apply their acquired knowledge to questions. If the tutee struggles or answers incorrectly, I would identify where they are struggling or made a mistake, then thoroughly explain it and allow them to reach the correct answer instead of directly providing the answer to the question. In my experience, this method can secure knowledge and even easily apply it in more complex problems. If the tutee is preparing for exams, we will work through past papers together to identify weaker areas and highlight exam and revision techniques. I will also provide self-written notes and worked answers for past papers to aid in studying.
