I have been passionate about english since high school, so I have chosen to pursue a career in English education ever since. I currently work for the University of South Africa, offering online tuition and detailed feedback on 1st and 2nd-year assignments, and I have done so for the past 7 years. As an amateur author and part-time editor of manuscripts and theses, I specialise in grammar, vocabulary and creative writing and I pride myself in trying to instill foundational critical-thinking skills in my students, in the belief that critical thinking and analysis are basic life skills that are becoming ever more important in this age of online media consumption, "fake" news and targeted advertising.
