Hi! I’m Amy and I’m a 22-year old science degree graduate living in North Yorkshire. I have a strong grasp of many subjects but specialise in teaching English and also biology. Want to brush up on your English skills for Primary or GCSE, or start from scratch and learn English as a foreign language? Whatever level or age, I am the tutor for you! My aim is to help you to help yourself - with lots of enthusiasm and encouragement as I have a real passion for teaching and the subject. I have an A* in GCSE English language and literature, and have a year's experience as an English teacher working for a company over Skype to teach Overseas students English. I am therefore also skilled at teaching English to non-native speakers, and regularly conduct lessons that prepare students for their IELTS exams and similar, and am extremely familiar with techniques and strategies for this course. I teach English at primary, GCSE and A-level, along with English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) - and Biology up to GCSE level. - Where do I teach? I teach online which is an area I have great experience in and makes for incredible, flexible learning for busy students and parents. I also teach in-person in York, Thirsk, Northallerton and surrounding areas in North Yorkshire. - When am I available? Flexible. I am available throughout the week, mostly during evenings from 5pm, and all weekend from morning to evening. - Which ages and levels do I teach? I teach any age and have experience in all ages anywhere from age 9 to mature adults. - Which qualifications do I prepare your students for?
