For my A-Levels, I received an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for achieving the highest mark in the country for English Literature 2 years in a row. I also received an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for achieving the highest mark in the country for IGCSE History. During my study, I have been teaching exchange students from overseas privately. A lot of students are very good in writing and listening because schools have trained them to be able to read and write during exams. I am a fourth-year student at an Education University, majoring in Primary School English Education. I grew up in Singapore and served in the emergency ambulance service for several years before changing career paths to teaching. I am a well-read, multicultural individual. My longest-running students are two Mainland boys currently in Grades 5 and 8 who are attending the Singapore International School (SISHK). During the current Covid pandemic I am teaching online using Zoom as well as providing limited face to face classes.
