Hi everyone! I'm Ernest Tsoi (20), a Year 3 Biomedical Sciences (BBMSc) Major, English Studies Minor currently studying in The University of Hong Kong. I've also been accepted in a coveted joint university programme with The University of Sydney for a Masters in Physiotherapy. I took the International Baccalaureate back in 2018 and achieved 44/45 for the following subjects: 3 Higher Levels in Biology, Economics, Chinese B; and 3 Standard Levels in Chemistry, English and Mathematics. Prior to the IB, I've also studied the IGCSEs and have had experience tutoring in both areas. My schedule is flexible but I'm generally available anytime on Monday, and most weekday nights. I'm comfortable with tutoring the following subjects: Biology, English and Economics, for students of all ages. I'm also open to essay-editing jobs as I've had plenty experience doing so (achieved A ranges in all my English Minor courses). I'm very comfortable teaching students of all ages. I've had prior experience teaching phonics to students in kindergarten up to primary school. I've also tutored IB subjects for students in high school, and am able to offer help in the more challenging aspects of IB - such as the TOK program. I am based in HK Island and Yuen Long, but would prefer online tutoring at the moment due to COVID-19. I have 12 years of experience teaching postgraduate, undergraduate, and high school students, including examining and syllabus design. I specialize in preparing students for Academic IELTS and helping them meet the requirements for studying abroad (Bands 6.0 and above). I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, as well as CELTA and DELTA qualifications. I am an Australian English teacher and I have recently moved to Kuwait to teach English. I have worked in the Education sector for over 15 years, ultimately gaining experience in Teaching English language literature, ESL and Inclusive Education. Over the years, I have also had so many roles such as Transition coordinator, International Students Coordinator, Australian National Testing NAPLAN Coordinator and Learning and Support Teaching Specialist. Currently, I’m teaching senior high school students (Grade 11 and 12) here in Kuwait. I also tutor students in Australia online (Grade 7-12) as well as Australian university students (in LANTITE testing which is a Literacy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students designed to ensure teachers are well equipped to meet the demands of teaching). I was born and raised in Thailand until the age of 7 years old. From the age of 7 to 30, I lived, studied, and worked in the United Kingdom. I am a dual national, a citizen of both Thailand and England. I have both passports. I have been teaching English in Thailand for over 15 years. I am also a translator and an interpreter. I often have to interpret for my clients at Thai courts for civil disputes. My expertise would be in IELTS, TOEIC, business English, interviews, presentations, and pronunciation.
