I have a CELTA certificate from the Berlin School of English, and two degrees, a BA and MA in Fine Art. I graduated from University College London in 2006. My experience ranges across all levels. Among my business English classes, I have taught students from prestigious companies such as TDK, Google, and Daimler Mercedes. In Japan, I helped many young learners develop their English skills in a more structured setting. Many of my private students have expressed an interest in reading English novels together. I'm a 25-year old grammar nerd whose biggest strength is my language abilities. I have family living in both the UK (London and Birmingham, England) and in the US (New York), so I've grown up with the English language as well as my native Danish language. I speak with an American accent by choice, but through my childhood, I've also mastered the British accent. My strong-suits in English are: a) my fluency in speech and b) my understanding of grammar. In fact, my passion (or nerdiness) for grammar is so strong that my high school English teacher ended up recommending me for a job as a proofreader - a job which I accepted and enjoyed very much. In my home country of Denmark, I work as a psychological counselor for patients with chronic pain issues, and I also work in a residential institution for adults with developmental disorders. I'm currently on leave of vacation as I'm volunteering in a holistic rehab center on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. I've facilitated group tutoring at my own university for three years (including classes such as Social & Personality Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Work & Organizational Psychology). I have worked as a professional proof-reader to correct grammar, syntax and the structure of E-books about stress and mentoring. Before arriving in Thailand in October, last year, I was working in Tanzania, East Africa, as an English teacher in two different nursery schools. Currently, I am volunteering at a rehab center on Koh Phangan, which is why I seek to work online in my free time so that I can pay my rent.
