I am Adam Gray, founder of Level Up English and an ESL teacher with over 5 years experience teaching in Asia. I have also taught and trained people around the world for more than 10 years. Currently based out of the U.K., I am excited to find new students for online tuition and help them to grow. Teaching isn't just my job, it is my passion. I love working with people of all ages to help them grow and learn in a natural, relaxed, fun, yet dedicated learning environment. My teaching goes beyond the classroom; with me, you won't just be listening and repeating lines from a text book. We will learn practical, functional English that can be taken into the classroom, boardroom, social gathering, or exam hall. I have helped my students prepare for (and win!) English language competitions, helped them to prepare for study or travel overseas, and helped improve their confidence and fluency. I work from a strong base of fundamental principles, and then tailor each class to a specific students needs. My specialty is phonics and pronunciation - with me, you will learn how to speak like a native British English speaker, and confidently use English in everyday life. Not just a teacher, I will make myself available to my students and their families outside of class, because learning together helps build our skills and confidence. I am a sophomore student at Clark University in the United States! I am planning to major in Community, Youth and Education Studies and a minor in Sociology. I am planning to teach English, to elementary school students particularly. My teaching style is mainly conversational based and sometimes alongside with some homework assignment according to the schools students are attending! Before college, I completed my high school with an IB diploma in an international school.
