I am a friendly and passionate individual, who loves to help students learn as much as possible. In particular, I enjoy tutoring English and biological sciences. I have been tutoring for many years and was a teaching assistant for university students during my time studying. I have an MSc in ecology and a passion for the natural environment. I love working with learners from different backgrounds and am adept in connecting with them using a variety of educational techniques.

I am a qualified ESL teacher and I always try and create a learning environment which promotes fun, growth, and a sense of family. I believe that making the learning journey enjoyable will motivate students to want to learn and motivate them to work hard at grasping the English language. My dad who has been a teacher for 35 years and seeing his passion for student’s development has inspired me to become a teacher. Teaching too has become my passion and absolutely love working with students. My students know are important to me, and just as they are invested in learning I am invested in helping them along their journey. I enjoy running, reading, playing volleyball and hiking, and I'm really looking forward to meeting all my students.

I have previously tutored secondary school students in various subjects such as Economics, English, Geography, Mathematics, and more. I am a strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex subjects. I am fluent in English, proficient in Cantonese, and also speak Indian languages like Hindi and Punjabi.

I lived in Canada and United States for over 16 years. I have been teaching English to all ages and levels for over 15 years. My experience includes teaching English as a second language to students from a variety of countries and cultures. My lessons are based on individual needs and abilities. I believe each student is capable of learning. I create innovative and engaging lessons, with a dash of humour, that will increase student's retention of the material. The lessons will focus on daily life and conversational English. The English lessons are not rote learning. I have a Masters degree in History and a Bachelors degree in English.

Currently, I am a Year 1 science student at Monash University in Australia, majoring in Biological Sciences (Microbiology and Marine Biology). I graduated from the German European School in Singapore in June 2023. In my English A Language and Literature course, I achieved a score of 6 overall, with a 7 for my paper two and 6s for both my oral assessment and paper one. Additionally, I attained a score of 5 in my Biology HL course, with a 7 in my research coursework. Furthermore, I am a Bronze winner for both the British Biology Olympiad and the Royal Society Chemistry Olympiad. I have experience in tutoring younger students through my service hours at school. I am fluent in English, German, Cantonese, and Mandarin, able to speak, read, and write in both traditional and simplified Chinese. I am also willing to stay online and answer questions after class.

Hi, my name is Suzie and I am a passionate teacher of English, Litearture, and the Arts. I currently teach at the University of Antique as a part time instructor and so far I am loving it. I believe that teaching is more than just a job but a chance to help fellow learners unleash their full potenitial. I don't believe that a teacher should always be seen as the authority because it often instill fear on students.
