I teach mainly English and Afrikaans at home-language and additional language level for any age group. I have experience working with children with learning disabilities. My post-graduate research is based on Linguistic Anthropology, looking at multi- and monolingualism in South Africa. I am based in Vredehoek in Cape Town, where I offer lessons from my home and online. I am an experienced tutor, employed freelance and at UCT teaching languages. Although able to be strict where needed, my teaching style is informal. I find students often struggle with confidence when learning new languages and so I foster a culture of confidence in my classes.
