I am a South African European Native English Teacher with 4 years of private tutoring experience and 1 year of classroom teaching experience in South East Asia. I have a Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology and I am currently studying for my Master's degree in child psychology. I teach English reading, writing, and conversational skills for students in grades P1-P6. Additionally, I have experience teaching Fine Arts from a beginner to intermediate level and offering Mindfulness Meditation sessions. I also provide counseling services for students of all ages, starting from nursery (assessment) through university level for any learning disabilities such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, as well as behavior modification for early years development (ages 5-8). Online lessons are preferred, and I am willing to travel within a 10km radius of Pathum Thani, Rangsit.

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I completed my secondary education locally and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto. I later completed my M.Phil degree at the University of Hong Kong. Teaching is one of the passions of my life, apart from going to the gym and playing the piano, harp, and cello. For over a decade since my retirement from the corporate world, where I was a department head in Qualitative Research (consumer insights and business consultancy), I have been teaching English to children and adults alike. Being a mature adult, I can empathize with the challenges and be able to devise flexible teaching methods to accommodate their specific needs and wants. There is always honest and transparent ongoing communication with the parent(s) regarding the progress of the child. Positive reinforcement and motivation are keys to my teaching style. I push or pull when the student is in approach or avoidance mode. Synchronizing with your child's development, together we work towards letting him/her shine their rightful light. I will follow the syllabus taught to the students and make every effort to have them practice as many questions as possible, helping them become familiar with the methods. Additionally, after completing each topic, a test will be conducted to assess the students' knowledge.
