I am currently a bachelor's student at Leiden University in The Hague, in the Netherlands. My expertise is in global politics, modern history, East Asian studies, and Chinese language. Being from the Netherlands, Dutch is my native language. However, I consider myself to actually be more fluent in English. I took the Cambridge English FCE and CAE exam some years ago, and have been attending university in English for the past years. I teach English, and focus mostly on providing a platform for students to practice their speaking, as well as improve their writing skills. I also teach history and political science. My teaching style is individual and personal. I want to figure out where the student is right now, and where they would like to go. I will try to guide them through this process, offering personalised support, by not only teaching the subject matter but also by teaching how to think and how to tackle complex questions.
