Hello, I'm Jennie, and I love maths. I embarked on my teaching journey in 2013 and work to inspire my students to feel confident in tackling maths head-on. Whether it's helping students prepare for exams, clarifying challenging concepts, or providing additional support, I take a personalized approach to ensure each student achieves their academic goals. My tutoring sessions are interactive, engaging, and focused on building a solid foundation for mathematical success. As an examiner for one of the major exam boards since 2018, my firsthand experience in evaluating student performance provides me with unique insights into exam preparation strategies, enabling me to guide students effectively through the challenges of GCSE. Prior to my teaching career, I served as an optometrist, bringing a diverse perspective to my educational approach. My further experience as a teaching assistant for three years was a great transition into the role of a math teacher, emphasizing my commitment to fostering a positive and effective learning environment. Many students can find maths a challenge. I am a firm believer that everyone can do maths; they just haven't found the right teacher yet!

I have been tutoring for the past 20 years, specializing in mathematics and science due to my background in civil engineering and economics. I have chosen to work from home because I have my own children, making it difficult to have a full-time job while also being a mother. I am very familiar with the CIE and Edexcel Boards, as I graduated from UCL in the UK. I am willing to help students prepare for their final exams, particularly by using past papers to help them become familiar with the format and reduce anxiety on the actual exam day. Currently, I am assisting a few students from various local and international schools, such as Bangkok Prep. I have experience teaching students from ISB, Harrow, St. Stephen's, St. Andrew's, NIST, and Bangkok Prep. When it comes to online teaching, I use DISCORD as a medium. Despite not being a gamer, I find that the server is the most stable compared to other platforms.
