I teach Mathematics, General Science, Physics, Computer Studies, ICT and English. Currently a full-time private tutor for international / local school and adults in HK with 5+ years experience. Born and raised in Hong Kong. I have lived in the U.K. and U.S. for more than 10 years. I speak fully fluent English, Cantonese, and some basic Mandarin. Trained as a scientist and researcher (post-doctoral training). Other relevant teaching experience include: as a tutor at tutoring centre (H.K.); as an assistant teacher in instructing university/college level physical geology and geochemistry (U.S.); an instructor for college freshman and high school women in science and engineering students (U.S.); as a mentor for more than a dozen of undergraduate and postgraduate students for their research projects (U.S.). 11+ & Mathematics Tutor (Including A-Levels) My name is Priyesh and I am based in Stanmore. I graduated from the University of Warwick in 2017, having studied Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics & Economics. During my course, I studied complex mathematical concepts with a strong focus on economics. My passion for the subject compels me to teach others and help them understand it from a perspective that cannot always be seen from a classroom. In terms of tuition, I also offer 11+ tutoring. Having taught this subject to children in the past, I am aware of the stress that this period can place on a child. Therefore, I have developed an approach that helps children focus during the most challenging periods. Teaching is not something new to me. Prior to university, I worked in a tutoring center for two years, where I acquired key skills that enable me to interact with children of all ages and adapt my approach accordingly. I am incredibly passionate about mathematics and helping people understand it better. I have been an official teaching assistant for universities for more than 3 years, specifically for multivariate and vector calculus, continuum mechanics, and some physics. I have also been tutoring privately for just as long, having had several students while finishing my own degree.
