A Ph.D. student in astrophysics at the University of Tokyo, I have over two years of experience mentoring high school students in programming and other scientific projects related to astronomy through my university's outreach program. Additionally, I worked as a teaching assistant for one and a half years, guiding and supervising freshmen students at the university. I have been coding and working on hobbyist electronics projects since my teenage years, accumulating substantial experience in these fields. Furthermore, I was part of an electronics startup with my roommates, where we developed and launched digital automation and IoT products. In my daily research, I write code to solve complex problems that are executed on a supercomputer at NAOJ, Japan. I have also contributed to significant scientific projects, such as the EHT collaboration that resulted in the first-ever image of a black hole.

I have a diversified experience of tutoring for more than 8 years. My areas of expertise are Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics. The main selling point of my service is making each concept relevant to real-life processes. I use analogies, and physical significance to make a situation clear to the students. I am always ready to change and modify my approach to a problem if needed. I ask guiding questions to get the level of a student and make a quick roadmap for the problem or for the concept. My teaching philosophy is never to forget how it was to be a student at school. I didn't love mathematics back then and it's easy to understand why. When people tell you it's all about the teacher this is 100% correct. Empathise with your student and understand their learning process and you will succeed every time. My greatest success in teaching is inspiring some of the worst performing students in the class into enthusiastic and high scoring maths lovers. While it's undeniable that some kids are more naturally number oriented, everyone has the ability to raise their game and get up there with the best. Hello! My name is Sara and I have tutored a lot of students in my past, starting from when I was even just in high school! For my bachelors I pursued an aerospace engineering degree and am currently pursuing a masters in Cognitive Robotics. I am passionate about both learning and teaching because I have always believed education is the strongest tool.
