I taught daily classes in early childhood education at the high school level. I developed rubrics for assessing the skill level of undergraduate education students. I privately tutored struggling students and collaborated with Pongola Academy to enable them to excel in the education department.

The main subjects I teach at the moment are Maths, English and Biology. I have got over 3 years of experience in private and group tuitions across kindergarten, primary and secondary levels. I have got a good grasp on the IGCSE, GCSE and IB curriculums but am open to teaching local curriculums too. Hey! My name is Luukas, and I'm an MSc International Economics graduate. I'm originally from Finland, but have lived internationally throughout much of my life, including the past five years in Rotterdam. I've always genuinely enjoyed tutoring, specifically the challenge of breaking down complex concepts into intuitive explanations. Even more importantly, I find fulfillment in learning how to adapt these explanations to different people, as everyone has their own style of learning that can make subjects 'click' for them. Tutoring is simply the art of finding each person's individual style. I definitely had to find my own style of learning during my studies, as the vast majority of topics in economics are technically complex and understanding often does not come naturally. I learned to quickly identify core intuitions and not be discouraged just because a subject would look overwhelmingly complicated at first glance. These are skills I would like to pass on to younger students. I can provide tutoring in any economics subjects, whether macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, etc. - as well as in mathematics and statistics.
