I am an adaptable, passionate and organized Math’s Tutor, focused on evaluating student progression and adapting lesson plans to facilitate learning and growth. With a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology, I believe that I have a more supportive approach to teaching and understand my students’ struggles. I focus on the basics first and ensure that theory is properly understood. I have many years of experience in dealing with all types of learning difficulties and scenarios which has enabled me to be highly skilled in my chosen career.

I have 4 years teaching Math and Science; mainly Physics, privately and in a tuition centre. I believe in enabling students to allow them to understand the concepts and theories, instead of remembering them. This can be done through various ways such as real life applications or explaining a concept using analogies. After understanding, practice is definitely required especially for subjects such as Math so I believe in independent work done to check for understanding and internalization. I make and provide smart notes for students as a summary and a checklist for concepts taught and internalized by them. This helps students who are struggling as they are able to focus on their misconceptions and effectively work on them. I believe that learning can be and should be an enjoyable and enriching experience for both tutor and tutee and I look forward to bettering myself together with my students.
