Hello there! My name is Precious, and I have been tutoring for more than 5 years. I started when I was in Grade 11 because I knew I loved helping others. I'm passionate, and as a well-seasoned tutor, I know some strategies to help different students. I was a student at Wits studying BSc Chemistry with Chemical Engineering, so you can be sure I know my Maths and Science.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching courses such as Math (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, pre-calculus) and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) at the school and college levels. I am available for school and college projects, including Business, MBA, and IT.

I'm an astrophysicist by vocation, but currently, I work as a full-time software architect and a part-time STEM tutor. I've been tutoring students for the past 8 years, from grade 1 all the way up to 3rd-year uni students. I try to have a comfortable balance between diving deep into a subject's theory and giving my students enough time to engage in practical applications of the material. Everyone is different, and I always take this as an opportunity to structure the lesson around what works best for my students. Learning doesn't need to be hard. Your success can be heavily influenced by how you are taught a particular concept or subject. I'm here to guide you and put you in the best position to succeed in your studies.

Omaru has over 8 years of teaching experience that dates back to when he first graduated high school. He worked as an engineer after graduating from his postgraduate from HKU. He soon realized his true calling lies in teaching, particularly in Math and Physics, which he showed great proclivity towards nurturing the love of them to others. With the teaching philosophy of “Divide and conquer”, He’s been able to distill some of the most difficult topics to digestible sizes to students. Another philosophy he lives by can be well summarized by the following quote, “He who has a why can bare any how”. With great emphases in class on sharing purpose and wisdom behind every step, his experience being an academic researcher has enabled him and his students better step into why those theories are of use in the first place.

And, to be honest, the struggle never stops, but it can be made challenging and rewarding! I am doing my Ph.D. in aerodynamics, which means I daily deal with mathematics and physics problems I need to solve to complete my doctorate. The mindset of the doctoral student allowed me to build resilience and creativity when approaching a problem we cannot solve, which is a mindset I try to teach all my students. My educational background is in mechatronics. I am currently working full-time at a top international pharmaceutical company in Leiden. I have been tutoring physics and mathematics for O-level SAT students ever since I was in university and would love to keep the river of knowledge flowing.

Hi, I'm Eise, a last year high school student who takes subjects like physics, math chemistry. I've always been big on building a good foundation to really understand and almost be able to guess what is next. How nice would it be to be able to think and solve hard problems by imagining and understanding, and not memory! That's increasingly important these days as demands from top universities get higher and subjects harder. Memorisation is simply not enough
