My name is Mary, and I'm 32 years old. I was born in Zimbabwe, where I currently reside. I have a degree in English and Communication. I have worked as a call center agent for 3 years and have been a private tutor for a year, teaching both online and at home. I would like to help beginners and intermediates improve their level of English proficiency.

I teach English for exams such as IELTS for those who want to write the exams and those who want to improve skills including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

When teaching, I assess learners to identify areas where they need help and focus on their needs. I use the teach-test-teach approach to ensure students understand the material. Additionally, I use a conversational approach where learners practice newly learned vocabulary. Students are encouraged to freely explore the language without fear of judgement and receive corrections politely.

My teaching methods vary based on age groups. For children, I incorporate games to make the subject fun, while for adults, I use visuals to explain unfamiliar words.
