I find that the majority of teachers, particularly online, teach towards specific results rather than overall understanding, which leads to students who pass exams but do not actually retain any of the information they memorized. My philosophy is that it is better to teach towards actual understanding, so that once the student has learned something, they never have to learn it again. Read less
