Hi! I grew up speaking English and Indonesian, and I'm a graduate of CUHK here in Hong Kong. I've spent my whole life reading, writing, and communicating in both academic and daily English (both British and American).

I have an 8.5/9.0 score on my IELTS (equivalent to C2) and an A grade for the Cambridge AS Levels subject of English General Paper. I am also well-versed in the social sciences and humanities (psychology, sociology, history, etc.) and am very much capable of teaching them in English.

I'm currently based in Shatin and willing to go to most places in Hong Kong (Tsing Yi would be my maximum distance). Read less

For younger learners, I teach phonics as much as possible. This was how I was taught when I was a child, and I always recommend teaching phonics to children as it will help them develop a native and "proper" accent.

I try to converse as much as possible with students in conversational English, with varying levels of difficulty and amounts depending on age and proficiency. I also teach using input that can be understood up to 90%. Read less
