Hello!

As an experienced Secondary English teacher from London, I am looking to privately tutor students who wish to excel in the subject or improve their language skills generally. I have a MA from The University of Edinburgh in English Language and Literature and a PGCE Secondary English teaching degree from UCL, but my passion for Linguistics and Languages extends beyond English, so I am open to teaching Spanish too. I also speak conversational Cantonese and Mandarin.

I use the Communicative Approach to connect with my students. By focusing on meaningful connections, I have found that students are more likely to memorize and correctly interpret information. The tasks and activities are based on the students' current school or university curriculums. I approach each topic chronologically to align with how they are learning at school or university or by structuring each class based on the individual skills they wish to improve. Read less
