I am a dedicated tutor based in Cape Town, offering support to learners from Grade R to Grade 9 in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences.
My tutoring approach is guided by a simple philosophy: “Not a teacher, but a parent.” I support learners the same way a caring and involved parent would at home — with patience, consistency, and full attention to their individual needs.

I work closely with each learner using their own school curriculum, helping them understand what they are currently learning in class. Instead of rushing or introducing unnecessary complexity, I break down concepts into simple, manageable steps. This allows learners to build a strong foundation and gain confidence in their abilities.

I offer bilingual support in both English and isiXhosa, which helps learners feel more comfortable and better understood. Being able to explain concepts in a language the learner connects with makes a significant difference in how quickly and effectively they grasp their schoolwork.

My sessions are structured but flexible, depending on the learner’s pace and learning style. I assist with homework, revision, test and exam preparation, and general understanding of subjects. I also focus on improving problem-solving skills, comprehension, and independent thinking.

What sets me apart is my ability to create a calm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. Many learners struggle not because they are incapable, but because they do not receive enough one-on-one attention. I take the time to listen, understand their challenges, and guide them without pressure.

I aim not only to improve academic performance but also to help learners develop confidence, discipline, and a positive attitude towards learning. My goal is for each learner to feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress.
